Adopt a Pet From Coastal Quills

We recommend learning more about any animals you’re thinking of adopting, and we have plenty of resources to help.

If you’re interested in breeding, mentorship is required, which means you’ll need to submit a seperate application.

We strictly offer rats as pets. As for hedgehogs, we occasionally offer mentorship for aspiring hedgehog breeders.

We encourage new rat breeders to reach out to seasoned mentors through the AFRMA.

We will contact you and get you approved for adoption!

We strongly recommend joining the waiting list if you don’t yet see the pet you’re looking for!

Occasionally, we may be out of available pets and won't accept applications until the new arrivals are older.

Submitting an application guarantees that we will contact you and pre-approve your adoption, putting you ahead in the process!

Adoptions require a paid deposit to hold reservations

We offer local pickup here in Karnes City, Texas and will reach out to schedule a thirty minute pickup appointment.

For long distances, we work with USDA-certified transporters to get your animals home safely.
