This option allows you to make a Payment to secure your spot on the Waiting List
A $75 deposit is a down payment towards your hedgehog.
An application is required to adopt a hedgehog. Your reservation is not complete without an approved application.
As babies reach 4 weeks old, we will reach out to approved applicant with deposits as published on the waiting list status page. We will allow up to 24 hours for selection for each individual. For more information make sure you've visited the waiting list page
Deposits are valid for up to a year and are non-refundable.
Our baby hedgehog adoption package includes a range of guarantees and benefits such as a care and information sheet, a Coastal Quills birth certificate, and lifelong support from the breeder. Moreover, we provide a health guarantee, a six-month congenital defect guarantee, and a lifetime WHS guarantee to ensure your peace of mind.
An approved adoption application and a deposit are required to reserve this specific pet. Once the pet is reserved, we will update the status and arrange an appointment for pickup. If transport is needed, we will reach out to you with options, make arrangements, and connect you with your pet transport company. Transport services are provided by third parties and must be paid separately. The deposit will be deducted from the total adoption fee when picking up the pet or from the final payment if transport is organized. All hedgehogs that are being transported must be fully paid for.
The deposit is nonrefundable. A $75 deduction will be applied to the purchase price of your chosen hedgehog. By paying this deposit, you are accepting our Terms & Conditions.
The remaining balance is due at the time of pet pickup or 14 days before the scheduled transport departure. It is your responsibility to verify your local laws about owning exotic animals. If we discover that the pet you have reserved is illegal in your area, we will cancel the sale, and you will lose your deposit!
Your adoption application for the desired animal must be completed and approved before the sale can be confirmed.
Every month we open spots on our waiting list. An application on file and a deposit holding your spot are required to be posted on our waiting list. Once these requirements are met, we will contact you to let you know who's available once baby hedgehogs reach 4 weeks of age and are priced and sexed. Rat selections start at 6 weeks of age after temperament testing. We will contact you via text in order of placement on the waiting list and provide photos and prices on our available babies. The waiting list is the best way to get the baby that you are looking for! Babies posted on the available page have been overlooked by our waiting list, making them available to the general public. We allow 24 hours before we must move to the next adopter on the list, we are always happy to answer questions and send pictures and videos to help you make this decision.
Please note, while additional payments are accepted from our families on the waiting list, they are not expected. If you have decided to go with our waiting list option in order to make payments and offset the expense, you will be in charge of your payment schedule planning. If you are within 7 days of your selected baby's anticipated ready date and cannot pay off your balance at pickup or prior to transport, please let us know as soon as possible. We can forward your payments to a future baby.
If you are on our waiting list and decide to wait another month to select a baby hedgehog, let us know by simply replying “Skip”. When reaching out to our waiting list, if we have a no response in a 24 hour period, you will added to the next selection. We want our families to be 100% happy with the baby they picked. If you have any special requests let us know so that we can match you with the perfect baby, this is the point of our waiting list after all.
We reserve the exclusive right to select babies for our breeding program and other breeders in order to maintain high standards and improve the species. Waiting list deposits and application approvals expire after 12 months.
