This option allows you to make a Payment to secure your spot on the Waiting List
A $75 deposit is a down payment towards your hedgehog.
An application is required to adopt a hedgehog. Your reservation is not complete without an approved application.
As babies reach 4 weeks old, we will reach out to approved applicant with deposits as published on the waiting list status page. We will allow up to 24 hours for selection for each individual. For more information make sure you've visited the waiting list page
Deposits are valid for up to a year and are non-refundable.

APPLICATION AND APPROVAL REQUIRED TO ADOPT: COMPLETE HERE!
APPLICATION REQUIRED: You must have an approved adoption application on file and a non-refundable deposit to secure a spot on our waiting list.
PETS-ONLY HOMES: We do not sell to breeders. We reserve the exclusive right to select any babies needed for our own breeding program first to maintain our high standards.
EXPIRATION: Both your approved application and your waiting list deposit are valid for 12 months from the date of approval/payment.
EXOTIC LAWS: You are responsible for knowing your local laws. If we discover an animal is illegal in your area, the sale is canceled and your deposit is forfeited.
📋 HOW THE WAITING LIST PROCESS WORKS
The waiting list is the absolute best way to get the specific baby you want. Animals only reach the public "Available" page if they are overlooked by our waiting list families.
Hedgehog Selections: We contact waiting list families once babies reach 4 weeks of age (after they are priced and sexed).
Rat Selections: Selections begin at 6 weeks of age (after temperament testing).
The Selection Process: We will text you in exact order of your placement on the list with photos and prices of available babies.
The 24-Hour Window: You have 24 hours to make your selection or reply "SKIP" to wait for the next month's litters. If we receive no response within 24 hours, you will automatically be moved to the next month's selection so we can keep the line moving. We want you 100% happy with your choice and are glad to send videos to help you decide!
💳 WAITING LIST DEPOSITS & FLEXIBLE PAYMENTS
The Deposit: Your non-refundable deposit holds your spot and will take paid amount off the total adoption fee of your chosen animal.
Custom Payment Plans: While additional payments are accepted while you wait, they are never expected. If you are using the waiting list to make payments over time to offset the expense, you are in charge of your own payment schedule.
Payment Trouble? If you are within 7 days of your chosen baby’s anticipated ready date and realize you cannot pay the balance, contact us immediately. We can roll your accumulated payments over to a future baby.

Lifelong Breeder Support: We are here for you and your pets for their entire lives.
Our Guarantees: We guarantee animals leave our care 100% healthy. Rats include our Lifetime Temperament Guarantee (immediate exchange if any aggression ever develops). Hedgehogs include a 6-Month Congenital Guarantee and a Lifetime WHS Guarantee. (Note: We cannot guarantee health once animals leave our possession on third-party transport).
Finalizing Payment & Shipping:
Local Pickup: Remaining balances are due in full at pickup at our location in Karnes City, Texas
Nationwide Transport: If needed, we will connect you with a trusted, third-party, USDA-certified transport service (paid separately to the driver).
Transport Deadline: All transported animals must be paid in full 14 days before their ready date, or immediately if the animal is already ready when selected.
